API 5000 Series

The 5000 series collector is the #1 choice when the requirement is for the highest efficiency year round.
The greenhouse design, integrating insulation and glass to trap the incoming UV rays, is excellent in fog belts,
windy areas, or locations where winter heating is a must. The API 5000 series produces medium temperatures
of 120-160, and it can be sized and mechanically integrated to heat a single or combined application.

API 4000 Series
|
The API 4000 is a time-tested product. API Industries has been manufacturing our famous all metal model 4000
solar collector since 1976. Clients choose the API 4000 when they seek a product that is aesthetically pleasing,
made from materials that have a long life, and requires little maintenance. The API 4000 is applicable to all roofing
materials and is excellent where rigidity is needed, as when mounting to a ground rack installation.

API Poly Pro
|
Constructed of polypropylene plastics, the API Poly Pro is superior for outdoor use. It is economical and applicable
to most roofing materials. The API Poly Pro has many superior features over the competition, including multiple slots
between the collectors that allow your roof to breathe, and full two-inch interior diameter ultra-flow manifolds with
flow-through anti-clogging tubes that decrease wear and tear on the circulating pump. The API Poly Pro is available
in standard 4X8, 4X10, and 4X12 sizes. Custom lengths up to 4X20 are available. The API Poly Pro carries a
limited lifetime warranty with a 10-year full collector replacement guarantee.

API Sol-R-Flow
|
Sol-R-Flow water heaters are constructed with high density polyethylene plastic tubing. National sanitation
approved for potable water use, Sol-R-Tuff tubing was put through a 16 year independent test under an acrylic
glazing and subject to a constant 105 psi of pressure. Sol-R-Tuff tubing withstood freezing, sunlight degregation,
and corrosion. Unheard of with conventional solar collectors sold today. Collector can be laid flat with no connection
to the roof - the weight holds them down; be put on sloped surfaces with just one mounting connection. The built in
framework lifts the collector of the mounting surface so the surface can breath, preventing dry rot. Can be transported
to roof via one person and requires no roof load structural.

API Sun Coil
|
The API Sun Coils simple and economical design has advantages over rectangular flat plate solar collectors. On flat
roofs the Sun Coil requires no attachment to the roof - the weight of the water in the collector holds it in place. On tile
or uneven roofs the built-in framework lifts the panel off the roof and only one penetration is required to attach each panel.
On roofs with triangular and odd-shaped sections where a rectangular solar panel would not fit, the Sun Coil is the only
choice. It is available in standard 6 1/2 diameter as well as smaller sizes. The API Sun Coil is warranted against freezing
and comes with a limited lifetime warranty and full 10-year collector replacement warranty.

API ProgressivTube
|
The ProgressivTube passive solar water heater is a self-contained unit that acts as a solar collector and storage tank
integrated into one piece of equipment. In most systems the unit is utilized as a pre-heater to a terminal, instantaneous
or conventional water heater. The ProgressivTube is a passive system because it has no moving parts and operates on local water pressure and solar
radiation. There are no pumps or controls to maintain and no electrical energy is required to make it function. Once
installed the system will operate automatically. When hot water is used in the household, solar preheated water is
drawn into the conventional water heater, reducing or eliminating electricity or gas usage for heating water. However,
as with all solar water heaters, the total amount of solar contribution to the system is dependent upon the hot water
consumption pattern of the household, daily weather conditions, and variable amounts of available sunlight throughout
the year.
